Description
The ICP sensor or Injection control pressure sensor is found on Ford's Powerstroke 7.3 L diesel engines. The ICP sensor is responsible for monitoring oil pressure being passed on to the PCM to pressurized fuel injectors using the IPR (Injection Pressure Regulator) for proper vehicle operation.

Symptoms of a Failed ICP Sensor
If you are experiencing oil coming out of the ICP Sensor's electrical connector, weird noises on idle during first starts, hesitation or misfires and a Check Engine Light (CEL) with codes P2285 or related ICP codes P2283, P2284, P2286 and P2287 then you may have a problem with your ICP sensor.
