The injection pressure regulator valve regulates the oil bypass circuit of the high pressure oil pump. It is an electromagnetic valve that opens and closes to allow high pressure oil into the injectors. When the oil system gets contaminated by dirt or debris, the mesh filter of the IPR valve gets torned letting the debris get in and make the plunger mechanism inside to get stucked causing the vehicle to not build up pressure. If you are experiencing no or hard starting when the engine is hot or after stalling and usually starts when it is cold or your vehicle is idling erratically or jerking then your IPR valve screen and seals may need inspection. This is a complete kit which includes all the o-rings needed for a leak-resistant operation and a socket tool specially made for removal and installation of your IPR valve which has a protruding electrical connector.
